Constipation is a kind of problem that we avoid having a conversation with other people. Furthermore, we share all our other problems that we face, but we avoid sharing the problems of constipation with our friends and colleagues. The reason behind this is straightforward as this issue is very embarrassing to discuss. Before consulting a doctor or going to the medical store, follow these home remedies that can give you relief from constipation.

1. Use Olive Oil

Olive oil is regarded as delicious and healthy oil. In addition; Olive oil can also be used to get rid of constipation. It is considered as one of the best home remedies for constipation. It works on your digestive system and helps you get to digest the food properly. If you take olive oil regularly, you can get rid of constipation very easily.

  • Two teaspoons of olive oil.
  • One teaspoon of lemon juice.

Directions for use:-

Whenever you wake up in the morning, the first thing that you need to do is, consume two teaspoons of olive oil. Make sure you consume this empty stomach as the best result is achieved when you don’t have anything in the morning. If you find it hard to drink or if you find to add a flavor, then add one teaspoon of lemon juice in it as lemon is also a natural remedy for constipation and also adds taste to olive oil.

2. Use Fresh Lemon

We are very well aware of the appealing smell of fresh fruit, but it also works very well to get rid of constipation. Lemon contains citric acid in it which stimulates the digestive system which eventually helps to get rid of constipation. It contributes to flush out dangerous toxins from the body and cleans up the material that has not been digested, which might be present along the walls of the colon. Try to mix lemon juice alongside warm water so that the process goes smoothly.

Blackstrap molasses acts as a great material to get rid of constipation. Blackstrap molasses is very successful as because they are made using sugar cane juice, which is further boiled to crystallize the sugar that is formed. The third step of cooking results in the formation of Blackstrap molasses which contains certain minerals and vitamins such as magnesium which helps to get rid of constipation. 4. Consume Coffee


A lot of people love to have morning coffee as it helps you to refresh and help you achieve heavenly aromas. Coffee has caffeine present in it which contributes to stimulate the digestive system and help you get rid of constipation if you face that problem. Make sure you don’t consume 2 cups of coffee as it can reverse the effect. Consumption of coffee helps you to urinate more frequently, but excess consumption of it can result in constipation as it would dehydrate the body and perhaps draw out water from your body.

5. Start Walking or Jogging

These days, because of the hectic work flow most of us avoid doing any physical activities. Due to lack of movement in the body, it results in constipation. This is the reason it is recommended to do walking or jogging so that muscles that are present in the colon keep on moving. So, it is rather preferred to do walking or jogging so that you can get rid of constipation easily.

6. Consume Fiber Based Food

We have heard from a lot of people that natural diet helps to get rid of constipation. Furthermore, natural diets can be digested easily as our body knows very well how to process veggies, fruits, grains as compared to artificial foods which are very hard to process. Also, natural foods contain a lot of fiber that helps to get rid of constipation. The Fiber contributes to grasp water from nearby and thus swells, it up which contributes to making stool soft which further helps it to pass. Some of the foods that are rich in fiber are as follows:-

Flaxseed Oil is considered one of the best home remedy for constipation. Use of flaxseed oil can increase the bowel movements, as well as smooth the intestine’s wall. Try to use Flaxseed alongside orange because oranges are quite rich in fiber and thus the result can be further improved.

  • One tablespoon of Flaxseed oil.
  • One small glass of orange juice alongside pulp.

Directions for use:-

Mix one glass of orange with one tablespoon of Flaxseed oil and then drink it to get useful results. You can take this solution as many times as you want, but make sure that the gap between the two intakes is at least 5 hours.

8. Use Aloe Vera

The Aloe Vera has a lot of benefits associated with it, and it can quickly soothe your stomach and help you get rid of constipation. It is recommended to use Aloe Vera gel as it is more beneficial than Aloe Vera juice. If you don’t have an Aloe Vera plant, then you can consume Aloe Vera juice as a form of placement as it can also give you similar results.
