Next, you can mix lemon with some yogurt to treat acne. The antibacterial property of both lemon and yogurt helps treat acne causing bacteria. It is an excellent treatment especially when you are suffering from both dandruff and acne. The cause and symptoms of both are very similar and are seen occurring together. It seems like dandruff from your head has also grown over your forehead following your face. This remedy should be used daily at night and left to be washed in the morning with lukewarm water. You can also add a teaspoon of vinegar to your bathing water to treat acne more effectively.

It’s imperative to clean your face before applying any treatment. Also, you can take steam before you use any of the masks as it helps open pores and unclogs skin to make treatment more efficient.

To cut down the drying effect of lemon you can use it with a grated cucumber as a mask which will keep your skin hydrated while lemon treats your skin from acne.

The best way to use lemon is as a spray. Mix a few drops of lemon with some rose water and use it to wipe off your face regularly during the day to keep your skin clean and oil free. Remember not to make this spray in large quantities as lemon may become sour after some time after reacting with the oxygen in the air. Make only as much you can use in a day and store it in a spray bottle.

When applying any face masks, you can add a few drops of lemon juice to it to help it cure acne more effectively. You can mix some lemon juice with sandalwood to apply as a mask over affected area.
