How does Aloe Vera work to Treat Acne?

The antibacterial and antifungal property of aloe vera kills the acne producing bacteria on your skin including P-bacteria which may be caused due to hormonal changes. Sugar with it coarse, rough structure helps clean the skin thoroughly and moisturizes the skin avoiding any rashes.
Mix a tablespoon of honey with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel and apply it as a mask for ten minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. The anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera and antibacterial property of honey together help cure acne and acne-causing bacteria.
Squeeze in half a lemon with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel and apply it over acne scars or acne affected area. The acidic nature of lemon helps fade away any acne scars affecting your skin and naturally brightens it. On the other hand, aloe vera with its healing ingredients cure acne and avoid it from re-occurring.
Lifestyle Changes to Getting Rid of Acne
Although aloe vera is said to treat acne but is not complete treatment, you need to make some dietary and lifestyles changes to get rid of acne completely. Aloe only maybe handle the ongoing acne problems. Reduce the consumption of oily, greasy and processed food. Follow a regular cleansing routine at least twice a day; maybe you can take a cold bath in the morning a follow a hot bath in the evening followed by aloe vera based treatments. Keep your body well hydrated by consuming at least 6-8 glasses of water daily. Water is a universal solvent and helps your body get rid of any toxins. You can additionally clean your face 3-4 times in a day with a gentle face wash to keep it free from oil and dirt.
