Adding ginger instead of garlic works well equally. This drink will definitely sooth your irritating throat. At the same time gargle with warm water added turmeric to it twice or thrice a day. The active agent curcumin in turmeric has a strong anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that work quite well for a dry cough. Ginger and garlic provide relief in tonsils. Giloy Juice and Warm Water
