To begin with, Texas is the second largest state of United States of America also known as the Lone Star State. Before we start let me share an interesting fact about Texas with you, do you guys know, Texas State flag can be hoisted as high as United States flag. The reason behind this that it was a Republican country before it becomes a part of USA. Large enough if declared the independent state it will rank 40th among all the countries worldwide. Texas is rich in its culture, natural beauty, country music as well as technology. Hence it is an all in one package for the travelers. It will be a challenging task to pick just 10 locations from Texas as it is full of happening places and surreal nature. But I will try to do my best to come up with best of all.

Big Bend National Park

One of the largest National Parks in the USA. It is the home of about 50 species, 75 species of reptiles, 56 species, over 450 diverse types of birds and more than thousand types of plants. Apart from these, there are coyotes, Kangaroo rat, gray fox, Mexican black bear and black-tailed jackrabbit are some other animal species which are the center of attraction. Since most of the part of the park desert, most of the animals come in the open during night time to search for food. This national park is favorite of many wildlife photographers. Rio Grande River is another popular must see point in big bend national park. There are many hiking trails in the park which are all beauty in their way. The park is believed to be underwater thousands of years back, and dinosaur’s fossils are also found here.

Palo Duro Canyon

It is the second largest Canyon in the USA spread about 120 miles, also known as the Grand Canyon of Texas. The canyon I filled with red rocks which have added to its beauty. If you want, there is a driving tour van is available which accommodates 12 people can take you for the visit of the canyon.

Franklin Mountains State Park

It is the Texas state park open throughout the year and is best known for its hiking and biking trails. It is known for its scenic beauty, and people enjoy the park and appreciate the natural beauty. There is a broad range of animals and plants species spread all over the park.

Steinhagen Reservoir

Morning mist on Steinhagen Reservoir is breathing taking. There is a dam near the lake. The purpose of creating the lake was power generation. Now, this lake serves as the tourist spot.

Austin

Visiting Austin has been on my wishlist for the last couple of years now. This is the city of the music. There is something for everyone. If you are indoor person go for spa services, museums. If you are outdoor person take a tour of the city through a bike. There are much different music festivals that happen throughout the year. If you are planning to visit Austin, make sure you a bit tend at least one of them. The city is filled with life, during the night it becomes more alive than it is during the day. Take a bitten dose tour of the city through a boat, go for shopping. This town is also alive and celebrating life.

Dallas

Dallas one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has many things to offer to people of all ages. If you are looking for something educational, there are a museum. Dallas of the museum of art and African American Museum are one of the best options to spend your Sunday morning. For fun full day with friends and family, there is Speed zone, Bowl and Barrel for a drink night with friends. During the night, drive around the city to enjoy the beautiful city lights. If you are a loving adventure person, the zero-gravity thrill amusement park is the most place. If you are planning to go to Dallas, expect it on a long weekend. Because you won’t be able to leave the city so soon.

Houston

Another mesmerizing city of Texas, not far from Dallas. It is the fourth largest city in the United States. The most attractive tourist spot of this town is the Space Center In this center, you can see the replica of shuttle space, tour to the whole center where on Fridays you can meet the Astronauts. Another must visit olive in Houston is the Museum District. There are 19 different museums in the Museum District which also includes an outdoor theater, Houston Zoo, and Hermann Park. You the food lovers, Houston’s cuisine is the must visit the place. There you can find the cuisines from Latin America, Mexico, Asian. The culinary tours are the highlight of any food lover’s day.

San Antonio

San Antonio been ranked number one tourist city by most of the travelers. It is the home to world’s famous historical site; Alamo. Battle of the Alamo was fought here in 1836. El Paso

El Paso, situated at the western corner of Texas on the border of Mexico is also known as the Sun City. This city itself offers more than ten different tourist attractions. You can easily plan 2-3 days trip and enjoy a variety of places and things there. This city has tourist attractions from the zoo to museum, from rose garden to hiking trails. If you are a sports fan, El Paso hosts basketball and soccer games. There is something fun for the kids too. Western Playland amusement park and wet “n” wild Water world have amazing rides. There are around five distinct types of art and historical museums to choose from.

Galveston

One can never get enough of beaches. Being a water baby, I love spending time at the beach. Galveston is located near Houston. Take a ferry ride or a trip to flight museum. Go to indoor garden or go crazy shopping for local products and artifacts. This place is incredible.
