- Coconut Oil and Camphor
Take some coconut oil and mix camphor in it and boil for five minutes. Cool the mixture and store it in a glass jar or bottle. Massage your back using this oil before going to sleep so as to get cure from a backache.
- Eucalyptus oil
Take a tub or bucket of slightly hot water (bearable heat) and add a few drops of organic eucalyptus oil. By taking a bath using this water, you can get rid of body pain as well as a backache. You can also feel stress-free following this bath.
- Mustard oil
Take some mustard oil and massage your back well. Follow with a hot water shower for immediate relief from a backache.
- Milk and Turmeric

Take a tube sock; fill it with rice. Tie off the ends of the tube sock. Heat this in a microwave for 5 minutes and lay it on the back (where you are experiencing pain). This works wonders in case of lower back pain.
- Poppy Seeds
Take equal amounts of poppy seeds and rock candy and grind them. Consume two tablespoons of this twice daily and follow it with a glass of milk. It is an excellent cure for a backache.
- Herbal Oil
Massage your back using an herbal oil so as to help your muscles to relax and to get rid of the pain. Use any herbal oil like almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil or eucalyptus oil. Heat the oil and gently massage it over the aching area
- Ice Packs
Ice packs are very useful in treating backache. Take some crushed ice in one plastic bag and use a towel to wrap it. Place the compress on the painful area for about 15 minutes. Do this several times a day to get real relief from a backache. You can also use warm compresses to get rid of the pain in the back.
- Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea is an age old recipe for a backache. A hot cup of this tea helps relax tense muscle tissues which can be the probable cause or an associated symptom of a backache. Make your chamomile tea or buy a pre-packaged chamomile tea bag to brew tea.
